Please note that… data previously provided in the Australian Customs and Border Protection Annual Report relate to commercial firearm importations, and will include firearms that are imported for supply to law enforcement and defence.

[Editor's Note: This table follows the same format as previous Customs annual reporting, in which a small number of firearms declared at import by domestic firearm dealers were on-sold to law enforcement or military clients. By 2012 all Australian police forces had already re-armed with imported semi-automatic pistols, and most military purchases are shipped directly from foreign manufacturers to the Australian Defence Force, undeclared to Customs.]
