RULE II: OWNERSHIP AND POSSESSION OF FIREARMS
Section 6. Ownership of Firearms by the National Government
6.1 Departments, bureaus, offices or agencies of the national government, including state universities and colleges which possess and maintain firearms in their respective inventories at the time of the effectivity of this IRR, shall register their respective firearms with the FEO.1 The registration shall be made in the name of the government agency or instrumentality of the Republic of the Philippines…
6.2 For reason of national security, firearms of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and other Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) shall be reported only to the FEO with the following data:
a) make, type, caliber and serial number of the firearms;
b) date of acquisition; and
(c) status of the firearm whether serviceable or non-serviceable…
6.4 Procurement of firearms by Law Enforcement Agencies shall undergo mandatory ballistics testing and registration for record purposes.
6.5 Firearms in possession of the national government agencies including Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) shall be reported to the FEO annually…
