17.1 Details.
Authorisation and nationalisation of firearms that enter the country require them to be marked.
18.1 Describe the markings that are applied to government-held stocks.
The seal of the Republic of Nicaragua with the words, "REPUBLICA DE NICARAGUA", year of manufacture, serial number, name of the institution to which they belong, country of origin and the specific technical details which distinguishe them from the other firearms or could be used as a means of identification.
Although our Act No. 510 regulates this, the firearms have not been marked due to lack of skills needed with the top-security machines purchased.
[SALW = Small Arms and Light Weapons]
