Créase la Dirección de Registro y Control de Armas de Fuego, Municiones, Explosivos y Materiales Relacionados, la cual se podrá identificar como DAEM, dependencia que se constituye en una Especialidad de la Policía Nacional, la que tendrá representación en las diferentes delegaciones de la institución policial del país de conformidad a la estructura de ésta.

La Dirección de Registro y Control de Armas de Fuego, Explosivos y Materiales relacionados deberá de contar con el personal técnico especializado, los recursos técnicos y materiales suficientes y necesarios para el cumplimiento de sus funciones que se derivan de la presente Ley y su Reglamento, el cumplimiento de las normas técnicas administrativas que se emitan y de aquellas otras disposiciones que pudiesen resultar necesarias y que se relacionen al objeto de la presente Ley…

The Office for the Registration and Control of Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives and Related Materials, which can be identified as DAEM, shall be represented in the various delegations of the police institutions in the country in accordance with the structure of the organisation.

DAEM must have specialised technical personnel, technical resources and the sufficient and necessary materials for the fulfilment of their duties that arise from this Act and its regulations; support of the administrative technical standards that are issued and other provisions that may be necessary and that relate to the object of this Act…
