Article 124

Le ministre de l'intérieur peut autoriser par arrêté toute personnalité étrangère séjournant en France ainsi que les personnes assurant sa sécurité, sur la demande du gouvernement du pays dont cette personnalité est ressortissante, à détenir, porter et transporter une arme de poing et, dans les limites fixées au 1° de l'article 39,1 les munitions correspondantes.

L'autorisation ne peut être délivrée pour une durée supérieure à celle du séjour en France de la personnalité.

Decree No. 2013-700 of 30 July 2013 on the Implementation of the Act No. 2012-304 of 6 March 2012 on the Establishment of a Modern, Simplified and Preventive Control of Weapons

Article 124

The Minister of the Interior may authorise by order any foreign person staying in France, as well as his security personnel, upon request from the government of the country of which this individual belongs, to possess, carry and transport a handgun and, within the limits set by 1° of Article 39,1 the corresponding ammunition.

The authorisation may not be issued for a duration longer than the stay in France of the person.
