Artículo 82. Prohibiciones Generales

Se prohíbe a los particulares la fabricación, importación, exportación, intermediación, tenencia y portación de:

a) Armas bélicas, explosivos, armas químicas, armas biológicas, armas atómicas, trampas militares y armas experimentales.
b) Reductores de ruido, supresores o silenciadores.
c) Mecanismos de conversión a funcionamiento automático.
d) Artificios para disparar el arma de forma oculta, como maletines, estuches, lapiceros, libros y similares.
e) Municiones de uso exclusivo bélico o envenenadas con productos químicos, naturales o incendiarias.
f) Armas hechizas o artesanales de fuego.
g) Armas de fuego sin número de registro o registro borrado, alterado o tachado; sin modelo, calibre, nombre del fabricante, ni país de origen.
h) El tránsito sin autorización de armas y municiones por territorio nacional con el fin de importarlas o exportarlas a otro país.
i) Portar a la vista ostentosamente las armas y/o cargadores para más cartuchos de los que originalmente fueron fabricados para el arma o que sobresalgan de su empuñadura.

Article 82. General Prohibitions

Individuals are prohibited from manufacturing, importing, exporting, brokering, possessing and carrying the following:

a) Military weapons; explosives; chemical, biological and nuclear weapons; military mines and experimental weapons.
b) Noise reducers, suppressors or silencers.
c) Mechanisms for converting a weapon into an automatic weapon.
d) Devices for firing hidden firearms, such as briefcases, pens, books and similar items.
e) Ammunition for the exclusive use of the military or poisoned with natural or incendiary chemical products.
f) Handmade or makeshift firearms.
g) Firearms without a registration number or one that has been erased, altered or crossed out, without a model, calibre, manufacturer's name or country of origin.
h) The unauthorised transit of firearms and ammunition through the country in order to import or export to another country.
i) Ostentatiously carrying firearms and/or magazines for more cartridges than the firearm was originally manufactured for, or which exceed the capacity of its magazine.
