Artículo 77. Acreditación de Requisitos

Las personas que inscriban armas de fuego deberán acreditar cada cinco años contados desde la fecha de inscripción, que cumplen con los requisitos establecidos en las letras c) y d) del artículo anterior, debiendo presentar además un Certificado de Antecedentes para Fines Especiales.

Este trámite deberá realizarse ante la Autoridad Fiscalizadora correspondiente al domicilio en que se encuentre inscrita el arma en ese momento.

Las Autoridades Fiscalizadoras al momento de la acreditación, deberán entregar un nuevo padrón de inscripción, en que certifique su cumplimiento y la fecha en que deberá efectuarse nuevamente la referida acreditación.

Article 77. Registration Re-qualification

All persons who register a firearm must certify, every five years after the registration date, that they comply with requirements established in paragraphs c) and d) of the preceding article, and must also provide a background check certificate for special purposes.

Such process shall be carried out before the control authority corresponding to the place of residence at which the firearm is registered.

The control authority, at the time of the accreditation, must enter a new registration document that certifies compliance [of the firearm's holder] and the date when the new accreditation shall be carried out.
