"…Law abiding shooters are not the problem." [said Senator David Leyonhjelm]
He said there were 800,000 shooters in Australia and they were sick of being blamed for the criminal actions of a few.
"It's a simple policing matter. There are some people who shouldn't have guns. The police know who they are and it's their job to ensure they don't have guns," he said.
"Everybody else who is a law-abiding person, they're not a concern."
